Black hosts MTV awards

Jack Black is to host this year's MTV Music Video Awards.
The comic actor was announced as the presenter of this year's ceremony yesterday (10.08.06).
Black, who is currently starring in wrestling comedy 'Nacho Libre', said: "Prepare yourself for a rip snortin' humdinger!"
The prestigious event will be aired live from New York's City Music Hall on August 31 and will feature performances from a galaxy of music stars.
The artists confirmed to perform include Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake, The Killers and Jack White's new band The Raconteurs.
Shakira and the Red Hot Chili Peppers lead the field with seven nominations each.
The two acts will battle it out with Madonna, Christina Aguilera, and Panic! At The Disco for the highly coveted Video of the Year award.
