Fresh from the success of "Teen Big Brother", producers Endemol are selecting grandparents for the new series.
The Sun has reported today that an 80-year-old man has breezed through to the second stage of auditions in London.
An onlooker told the paper: "They said he was a serious contender as they want real characters this year."
Brimming with joy at his progression the 80-year-old reportedly announced "You can call me Sexy Dexy!"
Not content with one more "mature" contender a grandmother was also put through to the next stage of auditions - as was a transvestite.
So far 180 people have been put through, with as many as 12,000 rejected.
The new series of the reality TV classic is set to begin in May.
