Capital FMÂ’s Jingle Bell Ball got the O2 arena in the festive swing this weekend, with an array of big names performing at the venue.
The two day event marked the beginning of the festive period for thousands of Londoners, who saw acts such as Jessie J, Rihanna and JLS perform their hits from the past year.
According to Capital FM, a fan hailed the first day as an amazing experience saying:
“The reaction of the crowd and the whole experience was really exciting from start to finish.”
The Saturdays were also among the acts performing, taking to the stage for a hit-filled set in white and gold outfits.
Frankie Sandford rejoined the band after having time away for health reasons and looked to be enjoying herself, while six months pregnant Una Healey also looked blooming as she danced around stage in a gold mini dress.
Rihanna closed the first day of the event with songs from her new album, Talk That Talk.
The Umbrella star appeared on stage in hot pants and fishnet tights and danced provocatively, clearly unfazed by recent criticism regarding her barely-there wardrobe and suggestive dance moves.
Young boyband One Direction hit the stage on the second day with a three-song set - much to their fans delight - with Capital FM reporting that some of their fans were reduced to tears in what was an “amazing” performance.
Sunday saw Jessie J close the event at the O2, with the 23-year-old embracing the festive mood and dressing as a Christmas cracker for her performance.
The annual Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball was held at the O2 in London and was presented by Dave Berry and Lisa Snowdon.
