Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden was left shaken after a contestant dressed as a bird lunged for her.
The 39-year-old star, who recently announced she was six months pregnant, was left unharmed but was said to be visibly scared by the encounter.
She got out of her seat and ran away from the contestant, before the shows security accosted him.
Phil Zimmerman auditioned for the ITV1 talent show by attempting to impersonate a giant pigeon and was seen flapping his arms and squawking.
His performance was not well received by the crowd and he was then spotted lurching forward towards Holden.
Despite the trauma, the judge later tweeted:
"Been possibly the best day we've ever had in London for BGT today!! Next week, Manchester here we come!"
The new series of Britain's Got Talent starts in the spring on ITV1.
