Halle Berry has won a three year restraining order against a man who allegedly sent threatening letters to her Hollywood home.
Security guard Robert Sawyer, who claims his contact with the Oscar-winning beauty was due to a mistaken identity, has been ordered to stay away from her house and work as well as being barred from contacting her.
According to court papers, Sawyer was asked by Berry's personal security last November to stop contacting her but carried on.
In one of the letters, Berry's legal team alleges Sawyer wrote: "Leave a message where I can reach you. I'm not playing now."
Sawyer defended his actions, saying a mystery woman introduced herself as Halle Berry and asked him to write a manuscript for her.
He added: "I think Berry and myself are victims of mistaken identity, and possible fraud."
This is not the first time Berry, 37, has allegedly been stalked.
In June 2004, former US Navy Seal Greg Broussard was ordered to stay away from her after she had claimed Broussard imagined he was engaged to her.
