Barbara Windsor, who plays bullying battleaxe Peggy Mitchell in EastEnders, should appear on Celebrity Big Brother, according to bald Dermott O'Leary.

"She'd be brilliant, can't you just imagine her bossing everyone about?" said Dermott, who presents the show's spin-off Big Brother's Little Brother.

The TV presenter, famed for his flirty interview technique, seems quite taken with the former Carry On star.

"I think Barbara's amazing," he told the Sun. "She's such a ballsy woman - I just love her."

Babs is currently at the centre of a ratings-grabbing storyline on Albert Square, in which Peggy's daughter Sam is wrongly accused of killing Dirty Den.

Peggy, along with 'her boys' Grant and Phil, are set to take revenge on the real murderess - Chrissie Watts.

And Peggy has already pushed the curly-haired husband-killer into the grave of her dead husband at his funeral. It seems that the farcical slapstick comedy of Carry On has infiltrated the Walford soap.
