TV icon Barbara Windsor took part in an ancient spectacle and exercised her right to drive sheep across the bridge, in her role as a Freeman of the City of London.
Tourists, motorists, and early-risers watched the former EastEnders star and other groups of freemen who took turns to cross the bridge using two sets of 10 sheep.
Windsor previously said: “Everyone jokes about me exercising my right to drive sheep across London Bridge, but I never thought I would actually achieve it.
“As a London tradition, it’s a spectacle in its own right. But more important than that is the generosity of those taking part in raising so much money for London’s good causes.”
Organisers hope to raise £40,000 for the Worshipful Company of Woolmen and the Lord Mayor’s Appeal.
