Arnold Schwarzenegger and his 12-year-old son were rushed to hospital after the pair were involved in a motorcycle crash.
The actor-turned-politician was riding his Harley Davidson just miles from his Californian home, with son Patrick in his sidecar, when a car reversed onto the road in front of them.
Arnie - who split his lip - was given 15 stitches by paramedics at Santa Monica's St John's Hospital. Patrick was treated for cuts and bruises following the incident on Sunday afternoon (08.01.05). Father and son are now said to be recovering at home.
The star's spokesperson Margita Thompson revealed: "Schwarzenegger was unable to avoid the vehicle in his path and collided with it at a low speed."
The driver of the car was reportedly not injured in the crash.
Arnie was involved in a motorcycle crash in December 2004 when he broke four ribs and was hospitalised for four days.
The star - who had a heart operation in 1997 - said at the time: "It was very painful, much more painful than the heart surgery. A rib breaking is, like, the worst."
