Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are reportedly planning an extravagant Arabian Knights wedding.

Insiders claim the smitten couple are set to marry at Mexico's luxury Maroma resort, after Tom saw a wedding there earlier this year.

The Hollywood actor has reportedly told wedding planner Kevin Lemon to create "the event of the decade."

The 600,000GBP wedding that made Tom fall in love with the resort took place in May, and featured a romantic beach ceremony followed by a candlelit procession to the castle for the reception.

A source revealed to Britain's Sunday Mirror newspaper: "Tom was really impressed by what he saw. That's when he got his people to call Kevin Lemon and they said, 'Can you make it identical but with millions of flowers?'"

Last month, Katie, who has been romancing Tom since April this year, revealed she wanted a "simple" wedding.

The 'Batman Begins' actress told America's W magazine she doesn't want a glitzy affair when the couple exchange vows - but wants it to be low key.

The screen beauty, 26, also revealed she is looking to wear an understated, classical gown.

Fashion editor Rob Haskell said: "She wants a very simple, classical dress and a traditional and simple wedding."
