Big Brother winner Anthony Hutton says it will be a dream come true if he makes the grade for The Match, the returning Sky One football-cum-reality TV show.
The 23-year-old Geordie burst into tears after winning Channel Four's pseudo-social game show in August and came mighty close to an emotional repeat performance this weekend after being told he was through the first round of trials.
Anthony is among a galaxy of fellow Z-list nobodies vying for a place in the celebrity side to tackle the retired pro side at Newcastle United's St James' Park stadium.
And the prospect of making the side to play at his hometown club was almost too much to bear.
"The thought of playing at home in front of a huge crowd is so emotional," he sobbed to a Daily Star reporter.
The Match returns to our screens on Monday and the Big Brother blubberer will be keener than most to be there.
He faces some stiff competition this year however, as some actually decent football-standard celebrities have turned up wanting to be in the team.
But there is still time to impress and the only stars to have secured their places in the celeb squad so far are rapper Harvey, singer Jonathan Wilkes, TV presenter Ben Shephard, sprinter Darren Campbell and actor Ralf Little.
