TV duo Ant and Dec hated each other when they were young.

The 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here' stars didn't bond when they were first introduced on the set of children's show 'Byker Grove' in the 1990s.

Dec tells talk show host Jonathan Ross on his show, 'Friday Night with Jonathan Ross': "I thought he was miserable."

The 30-year-old - who has worked with Ant, also 30, ever since - also confessed the pair don't always see eye to eye.

He revealed: "We've rowed a few times, we're quite competitive."

But Ant is quoted in Britain's The Sun newspaper as saying: "If we hadn't met I don't think we would have got as far."

Meanwhile, the pair are preparing for the release of their first major movie, 'Alien Autopsy'.

They play a pair of geeky alien hunting pals who claim to have rare video footage of an extra-terrestrial post-mortem.

'Alien Autopsy' is released in April.
