George Hamilton has become the third celeb to leave I'm a Celeb, throwing the show into turmoil.
The veteran actor had hinted at his early departure over the weekend following an upsetting phone call with his girlfriend, but decided to end his time in the jungle last night after reflecting on his situation.
His departure comes only five days before the show's final.
It is believed that like dancer Camillia Dallerup, who was the first celeb to walk out, he left due to ill health.
The 70-year-old Hollywood actor had revealed to fellow contestant Kim Woodburn that he missed his family and didn't really want to win.
He was also concerned that he was not adding to the camp as he has been excluded from virtually every bushtucker trial for health reasons.
Earlier, Hamilton had told the 'How Clean is Your House?' TV presenter: "Who knows, I may end up in the final three. But at this stage in my life I have to think what is important to me.
"With Christmas coming up it makes sense to spend a few days here with my girl and go back and spend time with my kid. Time means more than anything to me now. More than money, more than life.
"I've had a really good time, but sometimes I feel I'm not contributing."
On leaving the show he told The Sun: "I had a wonderful experience. We all bonded and took care of the weakest person, who happened to be me."
Hamilton was brought in to replace professional dancer Camilla Dallerup who quit due to exhaustion only a few days into the series.
