It seems like Rovio is bent on taking advantage of its successful streak. Following the launch of Bad Piggies last month, they’re back with another episode of Angry Birds, this time inspired by the sci-fic epic Star Wars.
Angry Birds Star Wars will delight sci-fi as well as digital gaming fans through their iOS, Android, Mac, and PC devices. The episode will feature levels that are created around the famous scenes from the films and will also use music reminiscent of the franchise.
Some possible changes in game mechanics have also been rumoured, including the replacement of the iconic bird-flinging catapult with something closer to the famous lightsabre.
The episode is scheduled to be released on the 8th of November according to reports, and will be accompanied by plenty of merchandise that fans will surely love. These are thought to include plush toys, tabletop games, and costumes that will surely add a unique and modern twist to the usual Star Wars costumes that sci-fi fans wear for Halloween year after year.
In the new episode, the Angry Birds are expected to each represent one character from the Rebel Alliance, while the pigs make up the Galactic Empire under the leadership of black bird Darth Sidious.
Rovio has released the cover art for the game, which has seemingly made fans of the game even more excited than ever.
