Andy joins Dingle clan

Emmerdale's Andy Sugden turns to the dark side.

Emmerdale's nice guy farmer Andy Sugden is set to turn nasty as his recent troubles get on top of him.

Writers of the hit soap plan to turn the 18-year-old into a "bad lad" after he falls in with the wrong crowd.

Poor old Andy has seen his wife run off with his brother and now his farm is facing financial difficulties.

As his troubles mount up, the hapless teenager turns to the hillbilly Dingle clan and is soon getting involved in their criminal ways.

"Andy's perceptions of right and wrong change," an Emmerdale insider told the Daily Star newspaper. "The influence of Cain Dingle, who is working on the farm, becomes more sinister.

"Soon Andy's mixed up in Dingle criminality."
