Amy Winehouse’s wedding dress and a cocktail dress worth over £130,000 were reportedly stolen from the house where she died, her father Mitch has confirmed.
The two iconic dresses were set to be auctioned for the charity that bears the singer’s name to help people who are battling drug and alcohol problems.
It is understood that singer-song writerAmy, wore the wedding dress when she married Blake Fielder-Civil in Miami, and the cocktail dress during a TV performance on Jools Holland’s Later show.
Mitch told The Sun: “It’s sickening that someone would steal something in the knowledge of its sentimental value.”
He added: “The house in Camden is being sold so all of her possessions have been tagged, numbered and logged in preparation of storage.
“There was a window of about two days while that process was underway when the dresses could have been taken.
“A few people were involved and there was some coming and going. We’re going through everything else to see what else, if anything, has been lifted.
“We are all baffled as to why some of her designer dresses didn’t go too. There were a couple from Dolce &Gabbana worth a fortune.
Amy, whose popular song “Rehah” featured on the 2006 album ‘Back to Black’, died in July 2011.
