Alien v Predator has topped the US box office after making more than 20 million over its opening weekend.
The disagreeable extraterrestrials, who have starred separately in a total of six major films, battle it out on planet earth.
Alien and Predator have already fought it out in a series of comic books but fans have been waiting for years to see the two beasts face each other on the big screen.
So it's Alien, the screeching, acid-for-blood impregnator, versus Predator, the dreadlocked, tooled-up, invisible, intergalactic hunter. A match made in heaven.
Tom Cruise's latest film was pushed down into third place. Collateral sees The Cruiser team up with Heat director Michael Mann in a tense thriller. The movie took 8.7 million.
The Bourne Supremacy was in fifth taking 4.5 million. The second movie in the Bourne trilogy has it's UK release this week and has been well-received by critics.
