East end charmer Alfie Moon will finally pick which Slater sister is the one for him and get down on bended knee to propose, the People reports.

The soap character will choose fiery ex Kat over timid Little Mo and will ask her to marry him again, the paper claims.

Shane Richie, who plays Walfords romantic romeo, said: "Alfie sees Kat sitting on the back of a truck cheerily singing The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow and realises she is the girl for him. He likes the free spirit in Kat."

"But, of course, in true Albert Square style the course of true love doesn't run smoothly. Alfie has to break his decision to Little Mo."

"He tells her he's decided to give it another go with Kat and, typical Little Mo, she understands and gives him her blessing."

Alfies proposal to Kat will reportedly be screened on September 8, ahead of Richies planned Christmas departure from Eastenders, after three years in the soap.

The 41-year-old actor is leaving Albert Square for Hollywood to star in a Steven Spielberg movie alongside Kate Winslet. The former Butlins red coat will also play the lead role in Scrooge, The Musical, which begins at the end of the year.
