Alba's Playboy threat

Jessica Alba is threatening to sue Playboy magazine for putting a picture of her on their front cover.

The sexy actress claims she refused to pose for the racy publication and says they lied to get the photo, which shows her wearing a skimpy bikini.

Her lawyers have written to Playboy, owned by legendary media mogul Hugh Hefner, claiming the cover suggests the olive-skinned beauty appears nude or semi-nude inside.

In the letter - obtained by the Smoking Gun website - Jessica's attorney, Brian Wolf, states she refused to pose and denied Playboy permission to use any images of her.

He claims the soft-porn magazine then obtained a publicity shot of the 'Into the Blue' star under false pretences.

The statement reads: "In featuring Ms. Alba's photograph on the cover of Playboy's March issue, it is clear that Playboy's intent was to create a false belief and/or expectation among the public that Ms. Alba voluntarily appeared in the nude, or semi-nude and that a revealing pictorial of her is contained in Playboy's March issue."

Wolf has demanded the publication stops distributing the issue and pays Jessica a monetary settlement for damaging her "good name, reputation and career".
