Ahmed Aghil, the self-styled "mature" face of the jamboree that is Big Brother 5, was anything but today as he launched into a relentless tirade and smashed plates.
As if invited to a Greek wedding, Ahmed, as of yet an apparently calm and collected individual, smashed plate after plate as he lamented the injustices bestowed upon him and his fellow housemates by the not so brotherly one.
Ahmed confided in "Mr Lanarkshire Best Buttocks 1996" and "Slick postman" Victor, that the experience was proving overwhelming - the persistent alarm and the strict house rules were said to be the principle cause of his despair.
Mournfully he confessed: "I'm just losing it - it's too much."
Fellow housemates Vanessa and Emma quickly came to support the distressed former asylum seeker, although they may regret their kindness when they have to eat dinner out of their hands for the next ten weeks. . .
Ahmed's outburst is perhaps understandable given his recent affirmation as the most unpopular member of the house.
Dan, Marco, Michelle, Nadia, Shell, Stuart, and Vanessa all nominated Ahmed for eviction this week. (although, in a deliberately divisive move Big Brother has cunningly ensured that anyone evicted this week will have their chance to re-enter the house and confront their housemates a week later)
The Somali housemate nominated Emma, who was also nominated by Jason and Victor; Dan, Shell and Vanessa nominated Geordie love bird Michelle.
