Adele has revealed that she will be performing at this year's Grammy Awards show.
The singer will make her live performance comeback at the ceremony on 12 February, which will be held in Los Angeles at the Staples Centre.
Adele announced the news on Twitter, writing:
"Ima be, Ima be singing at the Grammys. It's been so long I started to forget I was a singer! I can't wait, speak soon xx (sic)."
She later added in a statement:
"I'm immensely proud to have been asked to perform at this year's Grammy Awards.
"It's an absolute honour to be included in such a night, and for it to be my first performance in months is very exciting and of course nerve-racking, but what a way to get back into it all."
The singing star has been beset with voice troubles over the past few months, which had left her unable to sing live. However, she recently underwent emergency microsurgery on her throat to stop recurrent vocal cord haemorrhage from a benign polyp.
She is up for six awards at this yearÂ’s event; Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album for 21, and Song of the Year for Rolling In The Deep.
Taylor Swift, Coldplay, Paul McCartney, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, the Foo Fighters and Kelly Clarkson have also been confirmed to perform at this year's show.
