Hollywood actor Wesley Snipes has arrived at federal prison to start his jail sentence for tax evasion.

Snipes will serve three years in a low security prison in Pennsylvania for failing to file tax returns.

In an interview broadcast on 14 December, 48-year-old Snipes said he wasn't nervous about reporting to jail.

The Federal Correction Institution McKean in Lewis Run houses over 300 inmates and is a minimum security facility with no perimeter fences.

At the time of his conviction, in April 2008, prosecutors said Snipes had earned more than $37m (£24m) in gross income between 1999 and 2004, but had not filed tax returns or paid any federal taxes.
