According to recent surveys, almost 5 million Britons have lost track of at least one of their pensions due to missing paper work. These are those people who have worked for several different companies back in their working days.

Here are the steps that you need to take:
- First, contact your previous employers and talk to their pension administrator which is more likely to have your records.
- If the companies you’ve worked with before no longer operates, you will need to gather as much paperwork as possible. You must also remember as much information as possible about your employers that can make the process of finding your lost pension a tad easier.
- Before you track down your pension, make sure that you’ve contributed to a pension scheme while you were working for the same company otherwise, this will just waste your precious time and energy.
