50 Cent demanded two boxes of condoms when he performed at the MTV Video Music Awards.

The rap star requested Lifestyles and Rough Riders brands at the star-studded Miami ceremony, according to America's In Touch Weekly magazine.

50, real name Curtis Jackson, also asked for KFC chicken, Cristal champagne and macaroni cheese - but banned pork from his dressing room.

His rider stated: "There is to be no pork in the food or in the vicinity of 50 Cent's dressing room."

Meanwhile, clean-living rockers Coldplay surprisingly demanded a staggering 48 bottles of non-American beer, as well as vodka and wine.

However, lead singer Chris Martin, who is married to yoga aficionado Gwyneth Paltrow, famously doesn't touch alcohol - although his healthy lifestyle was reflected in the band's request for organic soup and free-range chicken.

Elsewhere backstage, Colombian pop princess Shakira asked for her dressing room walls to be covered with sensual drapes and adorned with expensive flowers.

'American Idol' winner Kelly Clarkson, meanwhile, requested vanilla-scented candles.
