Don't let the birth certificate fool you, Santiago Mendoza is only eight months old and already weighs a whopping three stone. That's as heavy as your average six-year-old.
A charity has took charge of the 19.5kg child to give him life-saving treatment and a new diet plan after his mother admitted 'ignorance' and fed the boy whenever he cried.
"He was born with an anxiety so if he cried I just fed him," mother Eunice Fandiño stated regarding what is now Columbia's fattest baby.
The Chubby Hearts Foundation came to the rescue after Eunice contacted them. They've recommended a series of diets and operations.
"What he will need is a long-term treatment, education, healthy food, and when he is older physical activity," surgeon Cesar Ernesto Guevar told Colombian newspaper El Espectador.
"Otherwise, in the future, he could suffer from diabetes, high blood pressure and severe problems with his joints."
